Karen began her professional career as a sports action photographer in 2006, and soon received requests for weddings, portraits, fine art, commercial projects and more. Her work has won numerous awards in international competitions since her first submissions in 2005. She is often inspired by people, travel and natural landscapes and continues to experiment with new techniques and forms of expression.

Karen is the sole-proprietor of Stiles Photography, which was established in San Diego, California in January 2009, and is an active member in a number of professional photography associations including the Professional Photographers of America.
